The Christmas Valley Rural Fire Protection District is proud to offer a free Wildland Fire Mitigation Program for local residents who may need support preparing their properties for fire season. This program is made possible through grant funding and supports both community safety and local firefighter training.
What We Do
If you qualify, our mitigation team will come to your property and assist with:
Creating a defensible space around structures
Reducing brush, weeds, and ladder fuels near buildings
Improving fire access zones and perimeter clearing
Offering on-site fire prevention tips and resources
This is not a full-scale landscaping or cleanup service — it is a fire prevention initiative focused on safety and strategy *for qualifying residents.
